@BitchyKnitter Why is it always so all or nothing with these people? Like, no school out there is like “you know what? Cancel all reading. We’re discussing social justice!” Like... how do you not understand that?
@LouiseTilbrook1 I’ve worked for several small businesses. They’ve all taken money any way they can. (Cash, check, money order, bank transfer, PayPal, Venmo) this really makes no sense.
Meet Aryana and Tom. Aryana is a composer. Tom is a male composer*.

*Please note the men's version is more expensive because the standard version has to be specially adapted to fit the male body.
@Velociraptoria_ I did not have the mental space to handle the census and then thought I hadn’t done it. Turns out my partner took care of it. It was nice that I didn’t have to fill it out or even get it added to the list of all the things I’m doing at the moment.
@PlanetofFinks Being mad that an independent bookstore would do something unethical is great, but the big chains like Amazon/B&N etc. definitely have unethical practices, and we know about them and ignore them. It’s not fair to hold them to a standard you wouldn’t hold big brands.
During the Irish potato famine settler owned farms in Ireland continued to sell potatoes overseas. They managed to build wealth while the people around them starved.
That's what's happening during this pandemic. The problem isn't the virus. The problem is capitalism.
@LouiseTilbrook1 My dish detergent was always Palmolive because that’s what my yiayia used. Now I’m relying on blue dawn because Palmolive changed their scent. It was a sad day when I thought I found the original but it was green apple instead 😭I miss the more chemical smell.
I don’t think there’s a purer, more distilled form of evil than anti-homeless architecture. Imagine spending this much money to prevent people without homes from getting sleep.
@mamofcocktails@ravelry I’ve project managed two, much smaller sites and have almost no experience and I’m aware the resources exist. I fully expect someone who is running a site that large to know they exist and use them.
Tonight, I deleted my @ravelry account. I truly believe the handling of the accessibility issues has shown me your true colors. What kind of community are you building if you are actively hurting, gaslighting, and excluding people in the process? Not a community I’ll be part of.
