It is genuinely easier to make a good looking character than an ugly one. Yes the body sliders are more limited than we'd all like. But this sort of nonsense has nothing to do with reality.
Remember when gaming journalists kept praising the Dragon Age Veilguard character creator?
Then players got their hands on it and it was pure GARBAGE, it was almost impossible to make a character that wasn't ugly as fuck and body sliders were limited in the boob/ass departments.
We don't hate gaming journalists enough.
Here's what I'm not interested in - Belgium crying they have to play us with a full roster. They really want to play us without one of our best players. Wow, what great sportsmanship. I get it if others are pissed, but Belgium thinking it's unfair to play our whole team is weak.
this is so annoying to me particularly bc it implies pre-colonial societies didnt care about punctuality as if they didnโt have incredibly complex power structures, complex infrastructure, or social gatherings. they also had incredibly accurate time measurement devices.
@mclovenxoxo But being late does affect folk though. It's fundamentally disrespectful to them and their time. Like being 5 or 10 minutes late is fine or if something comes up. That's life. But if you're chronically 30+ minutes late to everything, it's really something you should sort out.
I'm so tired of lateness being viewed as a moral failing. I've been shamed for it my whole life because it's framed as "disrespect" (and no, it hasn't helped me be more punctual) and if I lost out on a major life opportunity because of it I don't think I could have ever recovered
Watching โEuropeanโ teams pound on everyone else with players they only have because of colonialism and refugee crises eventually just gets very old
This social media ban is a good thing - itโs actually a ban on the access of some rich and twisted Tech Bros - to our kids. Thatโs a better way to see it. One of the things I do is run a mobile phone service (Ecotalk) and some weeks ago we launched a Just Talk sim for kids - no data, just phone calls - for ยฃ1 a week. Itโs one way to move a bit faster than the government can and actually itโs possible of course that these new plans get changed or dropped anyway - the Tech Bros will kick back hard against this.

Actually if Rowley were elected by the public, it would make his interview more acceptable. Instead, what needs to be made clear, is he has no business going on TV and wading into matters of policy.
Londoners should be allowed to directly elect our police chiefs the way Americans get to vote for their sherrifs. That way we wouldnt have sinister creeps like Rowley forced on us, coming into TV studios promoting foreign tech / surveillance companies.
