There’s one think would be nice to add to codex cli tho. Allow hooks to throw a message in transcript after the next tool call, this with tags clearly defining it as a hook instead of appearing to be a user message (which also breaks whenever a session is interrupted cuz queuing stops working) I had to get a workaround for my plugin throwing messages directly in the latest tool result to try avoiding this… Also allow codex sessions to message other codex sessions (any not only children) that would be a nice native thing to have instead of having to use a plugin, it’s pretty much straightforward to add and Claude has had this for ages, I made a plugin that aims to try to bridge it across all harnesses (codex, claudecode, opencode etc) but it still can break in some circumstances especially with codex… you can check it here https://t.co/apK1ALFMni
