@RCMLondon I first met Joe when quite young - I’ve met few such gentleman in 40-odd years since! I also learned from him the merit - necessity of hearing the balance of scoring in each chord/phrase. I’ve tried to emulate his meticulous approach & to instill in my own RCM students.
