@dmay001 @Fostus Most if not all food supply should be in a cooperative owned by the harvesters of the food and the workers who transform it. Private enterprise can do battle on the technology, brand and markets for the food. Might just save our rural towns at the same time.

@CoastalRpg It's an artificial fight that's all about getting EI transfer dollars from the feds to subsidize the workforce and rural communities in the off-season. Seems a lot easier to use 100% of the harvest and make year round work, but what do I know.. 🙄🙃

@wallylayman @TI_GovNL Depends who has the current cold patch supply contract. Also, cutting down on construction work and repairs means less work for people to get EI. Feds also contribute 50% to a lot of road work. Need those federal transfer $ to flooooow. Roads that last a long time do neither.
