Whilst great for Gasly this is a shambles from start to finish. Only happenstance stopped him from serving in the race. Everyone else got screwed. Remove all the pens and Gasly only finishes 5th.

As with other major regulation changes the teams will develop cars quickly and will nail deployment optimisation.

The biggest issue with F1’s new era isn’t the regs at the moment. It’s the god awful start to the calendar. Why open with 2 of the most difficult tracks for regen. Just shines a light on the issues instantly.

Are the rules awful? Yes they are!

100% should be a Racing Incident. But not under F1 regs.
