In the 1957 election, the election that you are referring to Akali Dal had decided to merge its political activities with the Congress party therefore all Akali leaders contested that election on Congress tickets. Akali Dal did not contest the 1957 election separately.

Punjab’s employees are on strike because the AAP Government has failed to honour its legitimate commitments and comply with the Punjab & Haryana High Court’s directions on DA/DR arrears.

The Government must immediately accept the employees’ genuine demands and implement them in full, instead of delaying, misleading and pushing Punjab deeper into debt through fiscal mismanagement.

This is no longer merely an employees’ issue. Rather it is a crisis of governance, constitutional accountability and financial management. This government has miserably failed and it has no constitutional as well as moral right to continue. So Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann & his Cabinet must step down. Their continuation will further prove to be disastrous for Punjab.

ਅੱਜ ਸ਼੍ਰੋਮਣੀ ਅਕਾਲੀ ਦਲ ਦੇ ਪ੍ਰਧਾਨ ਸ. ਸੁਖਬੀਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਬਾਦਲ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਤਖ਼ਤ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਦਮਦਮਾ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਤਲਵੰਡੀ ਸਾਬੋ ਵਿਖੇ ਨਤਮਸਤਕ ਹੁੰਦਿਆਂ ਜੋ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ 'ਤੇ ਪਿਛਲੇ ਦਿਨੀਂ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਵਿਰੋਧੀ ਤਾਕਤਾਂ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਹੋਏ ਹਮਲੇ 'ਚ ਗੁਰੂ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਆਪ ਹੱਥ ਦੇ ਰੱਖਿਆ ਕੀਤੀ ਗਈ। ਉਸ ਲਈ ਗੁਰੂ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਦਾ ਸ਼ੁਕਰਾਨਾ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ ਅ��ੇ ਪੰਥ ਤੇ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਦੀ ਚੜ੍ਹਦੀਕਲਾ ਲਈ ਅਰਦਾਸ ਕੀਤੀ ਗਈ।
ਸ. ਸੁਖਬੀਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਬਾਦਲ ਗੁਰੂ ਮਹਾਰਾਜ ਦੀ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਸਦਕਾ ਚੜ੍ਹਦੀਕਲਾ 'ਚ ਹਨ।

ਇਸ ਮੌਕੇ ਸ਼੍ਰੋਮਣੀ ਅਕਾਲੀ ਦਲ ਦੀ ਸਮੁੱਚੀ ਲੀਡਰਸ਼ਿਪ ਅਤੇ ਵਰਕਰ ਸਾਹਿਬਾਨ ਨੇ ਅਰਦਾਸ ਸਮੇਂ ਗੁਰੂ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਦੇ ਚਰਨਾਂ 'ਚ ਹਾਜ਼ਰੀ ਭਰੀ।
