One of Wisconsin's biggest economic disadvantages is our egregiously high health care costs. The data is alarming:

🚨 Wisconsin has the second‑highest health care costs in the nation
🚨 Health care consumes 34% more of per‑capita income than elsewhere
🚨 Since 2000, hospital prices have increased 260%, nearly three times faster than household incomes
🚨 There are rampant price disparities between Wisconsin hospitals for the same services and procedures

Wisconsin’s health care costs are putting families and employers at risk. Nearly seven in ten Wisconsin employers say rising health care costs have forced them to cut hiring, reduce investment, lower compensation, or raise prices.
