Avoid travelling in Western Ghats ⚠️

The latest forecast predicts heavy to very heavy rains over Mumbai and MMR areas which will intensify over the next 24-36 hours as the shear zone clears away and will result in heavy rains by the end of this week.

As the current shear zone moves away, it will take a day or two for all conditions to be favorable, which is currently happening at this point.

After westerly winds align with proper humidity hitting the Konkan coast, Mumbai will witness heavy rains which will also occur next week.

Rain accumulation would be 250-300 mm for this weekend.

Will issue alerts from time to time so all of us can be prepared.
