According Atsuko Nishida and Ken Sugimori the 3 Kanto starters were designed after their fully evolved forms (Venusaur came before Bulbasaur). They are based on Frogs, Lizards and Turtles. The Pokemon were designed as sprite art first then converted to color drawings by Sugimori.

This poisons the well, makes them treat atheists like lesser people, primes them to look for bad behaviour, and may even see it where it doesn't exist

Tech censorship is just a shadow cast by the REAL problem.

Whoever wins an election controls trillions of dollars.

The government controls way too much.

The stakes are too high.

Greed corrupts.

Over time, reducing the power of government will reduce the incentive to censor.
