@legendzent @KonstantinKisin Oh I see, @Legendzent is the kind of person that blames the rape on the woman because she was attractive and her skit was above hers knees, right? Gtfoh
@JoshHall2024 Ironically, widespread lying can create two opposite reactions at once:
1. Some people become overly gullible.
2. Others become so distrustful they believe nothing at all.
Neither is healthy for a functioning society.
@JoshHall2024 When lying becomes constant and consequence-free, several things can happen:
* people become cynical and stop trusting anything,
* serious issues get drowned in noise,
* bad actors gain influence,
* and ordinary people become emotionally exhausted and disengaged.
@JoshHall2024 A society depends heavily on a baseline level of shared reality:
* that evidence matters,
* that words mean something,
* and that blatant falsehoods carry social consequences.
@JoshHall2024 I don’t know why the people continually posting 💩 like this do not understand (or maybe they do) that it only makes the truth so much harder see
