Reminder: Dusty knows what he is doing.
Another Reminder: The Michigan “insiders” on the subscription sites have NO clue what they are doing (at least most of them)
@WolverineDaily To be clear, I’m not saying he’s leaving or going.
I’m saying I spoke to someone who (outside of Morez) would have a very good sense of where things stand.
As of today, Wednesday, April 22, Michigan’s belief is it’s “75%” likely he goes to the NBA.
Time for the battle between the mainstream outlet journalists and the Michigan “insiders” (who have been saying consistently that they expected Johnson to be back). Let’s see who emerges victorious!
In all seriousness though, it would be unfortunate if Johnson goes pro.
Gathered some intel on Morez Johnson Jr. today. The long and the short is he will be compensated like a late first round pick if he returns. That remains possible.
Still, the expectation internally is more likely than not, he’s NBA-bound.

Just let this kid go. If he doesn’t want to be at Michigan, no hard feelings, but who cares?! We want players that want to be here!
If you don’t want to join Dusty and his unstoppable train to success, I don’t know what to tell you!

Wow. Absolutely horrible. So unnfortunate for the University (which can never seem to catch a break on the presidential front) and especially for Kent (you could tell just how excited he was to be back in Ann Arbor).
Prayers and all the best to Kent Syverud and his family 🙏🏻〽️
University of Michigan President-Elect Kent Syverud has been diagnosed with brain cancer and will not be the university's 16th president. He is receiving treatment at the university's hospitals, per statement.
Source: Oregon guard Jackson Shelstad and Kansas big man Flory Bidunga have both committed to Louisville. A major package deal for the Cardinals, as the Louisville administration was aggressive in laying out a vision for building championship roster.
NEWS: Cal guard Justin Pippen is committing to transfer to Ohio State, per his agents at WME Basketball. He’s a sophomore who averaged 14.2 points per game this year and had 4.6 assists and 3.9 rebounds. He’s the son of NBA Hall of Famer Scottie Pippen.
Same old same old for Michigan hockey unfortunately. Millions of chances and can never get over the hump. In any event, a very entertaining game!
Denver might be in the hockey natty, but they don’t have Dusty May!!!
@UMGOBLUEHAIL In the immediate sense definitely not a big loss. Felt he had very good potential though. Needs a spot to have multiple years to develop and unfortunately that probably doesn’t line up with the state of our program.
NEWS: Tennessee big-man J.P. Estrella has committed to Michigan, he tells ESPN, delivering the Wolverines one of the most coveted big-men in the portal. He continues the lineage of high-end transfer big men at Michigan, as they played an outsized line-up to win the national title.
