Unfortunately I had to work late so couldn't attend Kingston's Planning Cttee where the Regents Wing (Kingston Hospital) application was discussed. Eventually the application for 128 flats was refused (again!), but blimey RBK made a mess of this. All rather embarrassing!

After 3 meetings and 10 weeks Kingston's Planning Cttee finally refused the Regents Wing (Hospital) application last night. Despite being refused previously, the app was discussed again by a committee with new members and councillors who had forgotten the details. #RBK #Shambles

They were patting themselves on the back 3 years ago at selling their history to a rapacious developer, but there is some opaqueness about whether they have received all the cash.. it’s a public body; if they don’t have all the cash, why ?

Although, I think what with the applicant haemorrhaging cash through their a****s, they may hold on to it. Wonder if Hospital have all the money yet?

Having the legally required number of parking spaces does NOT mean @KingstonHospNHS has enough parking spaces. This planning application will impact every single person who uses and will use the hospital.

Another planning committee meeting, and they are now saying this planning application wasn't 'refused' in December, it was just 'not approved'. I think I see what's happening here...@RBKingston

@WolvertonAvenue @RBKingston Malcolm Self wrote to the residents assuring them that tonight’s meet would be solely to discuss reasons for refusal and not to revisit the application. But that is exactly what he is allowing.

@JamesGilesRBK @RBKingston @SharronSumner1 That's why it feels shady. The original vote was to refuse. Then then said because they needed to confirm reasons for refusal, and they would defer and reconvene to discuss reasons for refusal. Now they seem to be trying to have a new vote to get planning approved.

Malcolm Self and Barry Lomax @RBKingston are showing bias in this meeting and trying to push through this application after it has already been rejected by councillors. How is this legal? Tonight was supposed to be identifying reasons for refusal. @SharronSumner1 @JamesGilesRBK
