@RedTory2016 I’m a sexual health nurse of many years and had to endure a humiliating disciplinary interview with 2 managers as I said that a trans woman was actually a man in a Twitter post in 2018. They made me feel scared for my job and my registration if I didn’t toe the NHS line that TWAW

@wesstreeting I worked as a nurse for a large city-based Sexual Health clinic. They no longer ask, and therefore can’t record their patient’s sex, only their gender. I asked if we could record both but was firmly told “no” even though it will skew statistics.
It’s madness!

I questioned this saying couldn’t we also ask what sex they were but was told “definitely no” as asking someone’s sex could be triggering
