@bidgeewidgee @DingoResearch The fur, short front limbs & that’s possibly the tip of a very long tail between the foxe’s front paws. Greater Glider for me. Bastard fox.
@Omshadiddle Your girl reminds me so much of the best dog we ever had. This was her pretending she hadn’t accidentally fallen in a hole & was just checking the soil profile.
Couldn’t find Shithead the kelpie the other night. In her defence it was cold, but she consistently shows none of the toughness that others of her breed are famous for. I blame myself. Maybe if I’d done things differently.
When the red dog gets on a scent, I just keep the rope tight & follow. She was in the zone this afternoon. Dragged me around for 20 minutes, I was expecting a rabbit or fox to bolt out any second. No, she found a cat claw. I was too polite to ask ‘is that all?’
There are times I think this girl could just disappear into the bush & we’d never see her again. Has to be always fenced in or on leash. Thankfully she’s the world’s laziest dog, but can track a scent like no dog I’ve ever seen.
@MJ_donotreply Of course, you can use the photo. Just crediting the Twitter handle is fine. There’s a story behind that particular cat. Happy to DM you with it if you’re interested.
Post fire the feral cats have just kept coming. If this had been a possum, glider, bandicoot or antecinus instead of a wombat, it would almost certainly have been killed. It’s a war out there & the cats are winning.
