In 2025 @GreatWarGroup is going to be talking a LOT about Haig as a way of stimulating conversations that try to put all this “Lions Led by Donkeys” stuff into context.
If you want to be part of a new book about Haig, you only have a few weeks left to make your pitch to write a chapter. We have some CRACKING ones lined up already and the whole team is very excited! If you have an idea after reading below 👇🏼 you can email [email protected] or…
Phil Watson is heading up all things from Aldershot through to the end of 1915. Drop self or Locky a line & we’ll connect you.
@bigandylock is the sub-section head for 1916-1918

Don’t be scared! This is NOT a closed academic shop. We already have one contributor assigned a mentor as part of them developing their #WW1 interests - it will be his first piece of research, and we’re ALWAYS there for that sort of thing. Just ask @torkingt1 @thelegalseagull@wampasmudge etc.!
We're starting to get our ducks in a row! 🦆

@Pro_Patria2@SpitfireFilly Nah - we’re to busy just working hard, earning out stripes and refusing to acknowledge it exists! We’re all about positive energy. Just make yourself so good they can’t NOT have you in the room
The most rewarding part of this week has been the women participating in Q&As, young & middle-aged women coming up to say they enjoyed my talk, & fathers of daughters who said they are inspired by a young woman speaking on airpower. We're slowly getting there ♥ @WomenDoHistory
The ball is rolling! This networking success story was born in the pub after our @I_W_M get together! Here’s to many more projects and initiatives like these for our growing network!
We’re delighted to launch a new #WW2/Ancient crossover tour for September 2024! In conjunction with the lovely @cath_fletcher “Roads to Rome” will look at two times in history that Rome was successfully conquered from the South! Full details here: https://t.co/hB56etN5Eo
There are a lot of brilliant people writing and broadcasting about the Second World War including this mob at #WeHaveWaysFesrDrei. Can’t wait! https://t.co/rKrltzjZo6

Geraldine is still alive today with her own family, thanks to the woman who was prepared to hide this Jewish child all through the Second World War.
