Today, someone's health status papers made them ineligible to be evacuated from an active volcano.

The lack of media coverage about the volcano erupting in St. Vincent is very telling. Like there aren't people directly affected and terrified for family and friends on the island.

I was granted Clearance to Fly in December 2020 with my mouth shield because of my highly documented disability. I had a whole folder of medical records. On March 30th, while at the gate, I was denied boarding because of @STATMDAirline & @Delta

This story is a slam dunk definition of an ADA violation, descrimination and is a major trigger and harm to my existing disabilities. I will not let this go.

Irony is I am a Sr. Industrial Hygienist so I know masks are not an adequate control for a virus and I also know what med issues exempt both masks/respirators as it's my profession. I have held an exemption since 2013. Complete descrimination & I'm not okay.

@STATMDAirline Dr. Told me my disability does show I can't wear a mask, but he wasn't allowed to grant reasonable accommodations unless I didn't have ears, had downs syndrome or was on O2. I can't make this up. I was granted access to fly with my mouth shield in Dec by stat-md.
