She was never thriving and that was her biggest problem.

By the time she started dating Johnny she had been in the industry nearly a decade. She had one role that people knew her by, and several other small roles that left her “forgettable.” Her role in Rum Diary was brief.

After she and Johnny connected she was involved in some larger films with some big names, but none of those big names were chomping at the bit to work with her again. No major writers or producers were creating large roles specifically with her in mind. There was no deal made for her own title film for the Justice League. (For example Dewey Finn in School of Rock was written exclusively for Jack Black.)

Most of her roles where she’s main cast are either super low budgeted films and/or films that tanked.

The media has been mainly on her side since she started lying about the abuse, so no one can blame her lack of “thriving” on Johnny. In fact he tried helping her while they were together, and he’s why she got the audition for Aquamaaaan. It wasn’t until the trial a year ago when filmmakers started to really see the outcry from fans. Just before trial is when the petition to remove her from A2 really took off.

So is the last year to blame for the nearly 20 years of her never really “thriving”? Or am I missing something?
