It is my dream to see all leftists decimated, crushed, demoralized, broken, no matter the cost. My "politics" run no deeper than that. FUCK these clowns forever
3 possible constants I notice about ALL pro-AI people:
-typically middle aged, with all indication they were kinda just big losers before AI dropped
-creatives who've been sidelined by their respective industries for [reasons], holding a grudge
-from the 3rd world
EVERY time.

@iBabyE@thefinnmckenty "Fast forward to today and itβs the industry standard"
Look at how thrilled the monkey is, with mainstream music being nothing but autotune pop slop for nearly 2 decades
I've watched this guy spin his wheels for four years, and the only change in all that time is he's (grudgingly) walked back gleeful bullshit about how artists are cooked. Beyond that he's been bargaining to the void and getting slaps on the back from his echo chamber. Kinda sad
As expected, the 'artists' are mad.
Here is the reality, though...
Artists with top-tier premium talent and skill won't be affected. People with money are still gonna want to buy the bespoke experience even if it costs a lot, while the mid- and low-tier artists will be out of a job. And the secret sauce here is that many of the top-level artists do use AI in part of their workflow.
Why do I say this?
Because of the state of the market related to pornography.
Despite the prevalence of free, low-cost, and AI porn, people still subscribe to premium experiences. They don't want just the images and videos, but a parasocial connection to the adult actor or actress in chat and real-time personal experiences. And the funny thing about that is that many top OF girls use AI to touch up their appearance.
Same reason why rich people commission artists to do bespoke works of art... It's often a personal relationship to the artist that the patrons are buying... in essence, at the highest tier, provenance beats abundance. Artist/creator name recognition is not something AI can replicate.
I'm sorry, but art was never meant to be a viable job opportunity for the masses. It was always an elite profession that even they were not doing well historically. Some were barely scraping by... for example, Claude Monet was very poor for a very long time before he made it.
Everyone can be mad at me all they want, but this is the reality. Being delusional never stops the progress of technology.
@AI_EmeraldApple -"Artists with mid(yes) & top-tier premium talent" pool will continue to grow, vs the millions of sloppers
-the market will adjust to accommodate Every Single One Of Them
-slopper content will still be low-class chaff, worth PENNIES (like penny stocks?)& will ultimately implode
@Devon_Eriksen_ "a wonderful brush"
that's only as good as the data/work/r&d or artists, scraped into it
let's not forget that the well wasn't poisoned, but poison itself, from the jump
because artists sure haven't
I can speak "LinkedIn" too buckaroo, just with more brevity. learn something
@LinusEkenstam "I see no clear pathway of this getting stopped"
For the US: Extreme fines, minimum 5 years jail time, region blocking nations that don't have their own laws in place. It'll stop right quick. Those of you who like Flock cameras so much should also have no issue with all of that.
