@hit100os Good point. I've been tracking daily orders alongside visits and conversion rates. It's interesting how often traffic and sales tell different stories. I am trying to understand whether the slowdown is down to fewer visitors or fewer of them buying.
Nice to see what Etsy's algorithm is doing to my shop this morning.
No traffic, no sales. Well, bang goes my new tractor to save my back.

@ruf0385 Thanks for your input! I looked at my 124 listings and found 57 different products have sold. So demand is quite broadly spread. But some of our unsold listings have had virtually no organic traffic. Hard to judge demand when people aren't seeing them.
@ruf0385 Shocking how little exposure Etsy provides. Just 18.8 Etsy, attributed visits/day across 124 listings. Strip away ads and social traffic, and visibility is painfully low. Yet ASH shows 71 orders in 77 days, with many days above 3% conversion. The listings sell when seen.
@ruf0385 Excellent suggestion, thanks! I took a closer look at my traffic sources in ASH.
Interesting result: Etsy Search hasn't declined. In fact, Etsy-attributed traffic is up 8.8% on September, comparing daily averages.
Oi, @Etsy! π
Where have all my visits gone?!
Did I upset someone? Have I been naughty? Do I need to apologise?
I'd just like my vistors back, please! π€£π
@kchaulab Reading your posts, I can relate! π I am only just figuring things out ourselves. Don't chase niches or listing numbers. Focus on quality, value and products you're proud of. Give yourself time, enjoy creating and keep going! β€οΈ
@kchaulab Two weeks is still early, keep going! π Focus on creating products you're proud of, with real quality and value, rather than chasing numbers. Give your shop time to grow, but don't be afraid to bring in traffic yourself too!
@kchaulab I just make whatever I feel like making that day! π My niche isn't really a theme, it's more the format and skill set. For me, it's SVG-based products. As long as I'm using the same skills, I don't feel the need to stick to one subject. Keeps things interesting, too!
Just opened a Payhip store because the Etsy algorithm is driving me nuts. π
Starting small with our hand-drawn designs and seeing where it goes.

Worked on layered Victorian Fairies SVG I am particularly happy the the hair!
The top left, pink, her hair just naturally fell right. I think the throw back of the arms prompted me to allow the hair to give movement.
I am happy with it.
