We have all really enjoyed wearing our Christmas jumpers today to raise money for Save the Children. Thank you to everybody for your donations so far. If you still wish to make a contribution, please use this link so it can be included in our total. https://t.co/6VRDgMztNp
We wanted to bring your attention to a fantastic community event that is happening at Mosques on the weekend 23rd/24th September around the UK. The one below is happening at Cheadle Masjid. We'd love to hear all about it from any of our pupils who visit!
A huge congratulations to our Year 5/6 children who represented Woodley in a World Cup tournament on Thursday.
They finished 3rd in their group and they were praised for their positive and respectful attitudes!
STEM Week Marble Run Madness Challenge Winners!
A huge well done to all of the children who entered into the Marble Run Madness Challenge. The STEM Team had a very tricky time picking the winners!
Thank you to @GaltToys for donating these fabulous prizes for our winners!
During the half term holiday year 3 completed some fantastic Reading Rivers telling the story of their reading journeys through the holiday.

We had so much fun in our sports hour. We worked as a team, showed resilience and couldn’t stop smiling! Thank you so much to everyone who came to watch us. #woodleyPE
We love reading for pleasure and are always encouraging the children to do so. This half term there is a 'reading river challenge' where the children will create a list of everything they have read. As you can see, 2G have developed an interest in joke books.
We have had a brilliant day taking part in Sports Hour! We enjoyed doing all of the activities and showing our grown ups the skills we have been learning so far this year.
ASK ME which activity was my favourite.
This week we have been looking at sharing objects into two equal groups! Take a look at some photos of us sorting some food onto two picnic plates.
ASK ME if I can share some objects into two or more equal groups.
We have been busy getting the nursery garden ready for summer this week. Gardening involves lots of digging and lifting which supports development of our gross and fine motor skills whilst also learning about the world around us.
ASK ME what creatures live in our nursery garden.
The Lions have had a great time this afternoon celebrating getting all the apples on their tree. They have worked as a team all term and had a fun afternoon playing with bubbles!
ASK ME did I prefer blowing bubbles or popping them!
2G loved creating their own obstacle courses yesterday afternoon, they were creative, confident and resilient! They didn't stop smiling the whole time!
In art, we have been looking at different mark making techniques linked to the well-known designer, Vivienne Westwood.
ASK ME about cross hatching and blending techniques.
