🌕 Chuseok (추석) — Korea's harvest full moon festival — is one of the year's biggest celebrations.
Families travel across the country to gather, bow to their ancestors in a ritual called charye (차례), and share songpyeon — half-moon rice cakes filled with sesame, chestnut, or red bean.
It's a time for gratitude, roots, and really, really good food. 🍚
Think Thanksgiving meets the harvest moon — but with hanbok, makgeolli, and a side of ancestral reverence.
Chuseok falls on the 15th day of the 8th lunar month — this year it lands in early October.

Every testimony tonight revealed a darker layer.
A young woman added this one:

But in China, transplant wait lists are measured in weeks—or even days.

For twenty years, I’ve investigated a crime almost too horrific to name, which has culminated in my new book: “Killed To Order.”

This is the dark reality: When someone decides to go to China and pay a hefty sum for a scheduled transplant, then on the other side, an incarcerated prisoner of conscience, who has already been blood-typed and tissue-typed, is likely being killed to order.
