Somewhat emotionally drained myself after speaking at the @GovJsyHCS Patient Safety conference, on the links between burnout, speaking up, moral injury and patient safety.
We have to address staff wellbeing to improve the care we provide. We have to build trust between patients, healthcare staff, organisations and wider society and make sure that everyone's voice is heard.

It's notable that #mentalhealth (MH) is the most common reason people are absent from work. The argument for proactive, evidence based approaches to prevent, & mitigate, poor MH is strong. Psychologically savvy supervisors, peer support & periodic reflective practice can all help
