Eric's childhood dream was to be a firefighter. He joined his local fire department's explorer program at just 14 years old and stayed in emergency response ever since. Now he works as Public Information Officer and serves as a contributor to Watch Duty, helping get people the right information when they need it most.
@MissAshes92 Absolutely. This type of AI posting will likely lead to more public safety radio encryption to prevent disinformation. Grand County, CO went silent to scanners earlier this year and cited these exact reasons https://t.co/c0nCWJ4rzc
@paigevincent09 Great pic! Did you notice the ground circulation at the time? I was south of you at Road W and couldn't see the funnel from my vantage point, but in my video I captured that ground circulation starting just north of the little building. Maybe a brief tornado?
@MissAshes92 Late to the party here, but Blue Card has the most robust curriculum for what you’re describing. 50-hour digital course followed by a 24-hour simulation lab to get certified. It’s very heavy on communication, establishing command, span of control etc.
A fast-moving landspout hit Franktown near the intersection of Hwy 83 and Hwy 86. 7 businesses within the shopping center sustained roof damage. Fortunately, no injuries have been reported, and all individuals have been accounted for. FFPD remains on scene to provide support.
As predicted by @NWSBoulder a brief landspout was observed in an open field as seen from the City of Aurora Public Safety Training Center between 15:09 and 15:13 this afternoon. Images captured looking northeast toward Watkins Rd., north of Quincy Ave. #cowx
Seeing smoke from US285 in Park County? Local, State and Federal firefighters are battling the #821Fire - An otherwise beautiful leaf peeping afternoon quickly turned dangerous forcing Deputies to evacuate a few nearby campsites. #cotraffic#cowx
