What does leadership in agtech look like right now?
For our CIDO, Feroz Sheikh, it starts with action, not waiting.
From opening up Cropwise to investing in BioSTaR and QuantumBasel, it’s about leading from the front.

From new modes of action in crop protection to fleets of physical AI agents, founders at @WorldAgriTech in San Francisco shared how converging technologies from AI and genomics to robotics are reshaping agriculture.
Last week at the @WorldAgriTech Innovation Summit, Shubhang Shankar from Syngenta Group Ventures summed it up well: Every investment is a hypothesis. Some scale, some don’t.
At Syngenta Group, it’s about testing a range of partnerships and doubling down on what works. AI is an accelerant for now. The real breakthroughs may still be ahead. Next wildcard? Robotics. 🚜🌱

Our CIO Feroz Sheikh at @WorldAgriTech on farmers’ evolving relationship with AI: “It’s all about trust. We researched developed and developing markets. If it remains a black box they don’t trust, they won’t use it. But if they do, they use it and thrive. Once they understand it, adoption rises 25% year on year.” #WorldAgritech
From the main stage at @WorldAgriTech in San Francisco.
@EarthDailyA's Andrew Pylypchuk joined industry peers from @PepsiCo, @McCainFoods, and @CGIAR to discuss how regenerative #agriculture can be monitored at scale using Earth observation and cloud technologies.
Strong discussion on scaling visibility across production systems.

This week @paulraymer9 attended the @WorldAgriTech Summit and came back with some strong takeaways.
A lot of the discussion focused on how quickly things are evolving. AI and data-driven decision making on the farm came up often, along with biological inputs and new approaches to crop health. There was also a strong emphasis on measuring real outcomes, especially around soil carbon and sustainability.
It’s always valuable to be in the room with leaders who are driving sustainable agricultural practices forward and working toward shared goals. Good conversations and plenty to take back from this one!
Great to participate and moderate the growers panel at the Annual World Agri-Tech Innovation Summit in SF in collaboration with the California AgTech Alliance. Our session, “A Farmer’s View on Intelligent Systems in the Field,” featured real life perspectives with Scott Grabau (Tanimura & Antle), Joe L. Del Bosque (Del Bosque Farms), and Raina Nelson (Westfalia Fruit USA) on how farmers are adapting as technology reshapes modern agriculture.
We talked about real-world challenges, innovation in the field, and how new tools—from data to automation—are changing the way decisions are made on the farm while keeping people at the center of agriculture.
The World Agri-Tech Innovation Summit, now in its 14th year, brings together more than 2,000 leaders from across the agri-food sector to drive collaboration, strengthen our food system, and support the future of farming.
