Auburn University student missing in Japan-
James ‘Weston’ Higginbotham (20) was last confirmed in the Kyoto area on May 29 while traveling with his family.
Latest information from investigators places him at Yamashina Station east of Kyoto. Surveillance footage shows he made it to the station, but it is unclear whether he got back on or not.
His family said he arrived at Kyoto Station around 8:15pm on May 29. His phone last showed activity at 8:29pm.
Before that, Weston made a purchase at a hardware store in the Kyoto area. His mother is concerned he might be in emotional distress.
