@Vincente22films Cause Cars 3 is supposed to make you feel old with how McQueen feels. But if a kid tha saw cars form 4-8 would still be a teenager and not feel the weight of time pass. But if it was released 15 years+ later then the emotions would probably hit harder even by the ads alone.

@Vincente22films I personally think if Cars 3 released any year 2021+ it would have done much better. I’ve noticed Cars has become a classic staple ever since 2019 with its memes, people decaling there cars as McQueen, and even Cars 2 love. It would have hit younger kids and nostalgic audience.

@PieceOfJayVA @HarveyRivers17 I wouldn’t say the movie flopped, yea it’s the worst box office cars movie but I think it was due to bad release time. It was competing against Spiderman Homecoming, Wonder Woman, and hate to say… despicable me 3… those movie get everyone somehow.

@Schaffrillas While I don’t think it’s the best (1) I 100% agree it’s so underrated. With its mature story line of retirement, and him coaching Cruz creating a new career like doc. I also really appreciate it the real life NASCAR history. Feels like a proper progression from Cars 1.

@ult1mateslacker @daveleedwnundr If you look at the first movies merch. It was more on the smaller side. Yea there were toys (like very movie ever) but they never thought of merchandise when making the first movie. The sequals… well… yea
