There is now little doubt that, like Chernobyl, Bhopal and 9/11, the pandemic was manmade. And it killed 100 times as many people as those three disasters put together.

Yet a bunch of people with power and influence did their utmost to bury the truth about the cause.

It's already solved. "median household’s disposable net worth (net property and financial wealth excluding pensions)" and "growing role of passive wealth gains (whether gifted by an asset price boom") 15 years of zero to negative real interest rates will do this. So, now we've positive real interest rates again. Property prices (in UK at least) are falling in real terms, falling even more as a multiple of wages.

So, QE was the cause and QT is the cure and we're already doing it. Job done.

Me neither, but I'd make a reasonable guess. There was a lot of such emigration. In fact, so I'm told, the graveyard 10km down the road has some Cornish names in it. Zinc and copper mine since the Romans. And Rio Tinto, over in Spain is wondrous. Town with English Edwardian houses in it (some in Huelva as well, the relevant port city).

I genuinely believe a 4 day workweek with 5 to 6 hour days would change society for the better. People would be less stressed, spend more time with family and friends, and actually have the energy to enjoy life instead of just recovering from work. We'd probably end up healthier and happier because of it.

@scottlincicome Al is about the electricity price and pretty much nothing else. At current $3k (-ish) per tonne 50% or so of the cost is electricity. That's just it.

Eat the salmon, reopen the NW hydro dams and we're fine.

The FDA will shaft it: "Martin and others have asked the FDA for some kind of assurance that biotech companies participating in Montana’s program won’t be penalized later on. But the agency hasn’t provided them with more than a restatement of the federal Right to Try Act."

It will become generally known that if you launch your new drug in Montana then you can await the cows coming home before the FDA will for general release.

There are a lot of FDA jobs reliant upon the current system and no bureaucracy likes being sidestepped.
