@PhilGalfond As a rec player with kids, I am typically relegated to whatever tournaments are happening at night.
I haven't played for 3 weeks because every time I want to, I ask myself, "do you want to stay up long enough for the win?". If the answer is no, I'm not mentally prepared to play.
I know this isn't the point of the tweet but I feel ashamed as a Canadian that I have been using the American spelling of sceptical for my entire life.
At least I can say with confidence that I constantly use the English "u". At least I still have that honour.
@JustinBonomo Did you speak up against the bullying of people who were sceptical of the Covid vaccine? Or times where people whom have opposing political affiliations to you have been bullied?
I had you blocked during 2020/2021, so I am asking this with genuine ignorance and curiosity.
Finally listened to this space @DougPolkVids had and wow!
All sides of this need to meet more in the middle.
Neither side is 100% correct.
Except for @RealKidPoker when he said that was the most genuine Doug has been. Plus the bluffing comment about @PhilGalfond motivation.
#Poker Twitter is fucking hilarious.
It's either a pic, complaining, or calling someone out. Sometimes it's all of them.
If TV execs paid attention they'd have run a Real Poker Players series a long time ago and made way more bank then the Housewives one gave them.
@eastcoastariel@WSOP Genuine question. Do you think adding the term "trans" to gender identity is necessary?
I accept a trans woman is a woman, so the "trans" seems irrelevant.
I'm aware I could be seeing this wrong. Maybe it's important to separate the two.
@PokerCapone Typically play on PlayNow because I'm a rec and its tailored towards us. If you ever want to chat about that site and why I feel it's a rec site, let me know. I know as an Albertan, you don't have access to it.
@PhilGalfond 5th place in 4k guarantee last night that was about 3x my ABI.
This tweet has given me the confidence to fire my entire bankroll into a single tourney.
Catching up on @UpswingPoker podcasts. Mike Brady says "I think most people 4 bet with value hands and not bluffs" and I feel personally attacked @mbradycf
Gambol is the simplest explanation. Even if cheating it's still the simplest because it was a turn call, unless production is involved.
Poker pros have expertise but also bias; they think like pros.
Ask 100 fish with hero call leaks if they make that call.
#poker#Cheater
Started playing more Risk recently and I find it interesting that some Risk players have the same mentality that a lot of shit regs do to new players; they hate them because they don't play in a "normal" way.
Is Chess like this too?
Day of river Jacks. Playing a $25 spin earlier and got Allin with KQ on Kxx flop. KJ wins with a J river.
Playing a tourney now. AJo on the BU. SB 3bets me and we're heads up on a AAT flop. Figure I'm in trouble when he calls my Flop raise. AI on T turn, shows AK. River the J.
It always amuses me how people get upset about stuff like this.
Someone not liking something u like isn't a personal attack. It's ok to like different things. He didn't say everyone that watches it is trash.
By some of the reactions you think he raised Q4o then called an allin.
