Been bugging me for a while: biggest paradigm shift in decades, I’m full-time losing my mind over AI toys — and still can’t commit to a single idea space. Why?

"Taste" is overrated. Nobody cared about your handwriting after email. People keep picking taste as their AI moat, probably because it's the one thing they already think they have.
@maxrobot5 They’re both the backbone of many things while extremely hard for consumers to use directly. From a user’s PoV, admin key or not doesn’t make much difference. It matters more to the team.
No admin key didn't save Bybit who lost billions through Safe. Decentralization protects the team from liability, not the user. DeFi is Linux for finance, not the future of finance. The brand is already dead for consumers, and it should be. It was never for them.
People might accuse me of grave dancing for saying it
But we have to stop letting centralized things call themselves DeFi
Admin key can drain all funds? CeFi
Otherwise DeFi means nothing and it’s brand is destroyed
No admin key can drain any version of Uniswap for a reason
@dhh Could you share more examples of point 1? I usually go task-based for precision/control, but curious about when the outcome-based flexibility pays off.
In 2026, Claude Code could finally unleash the golden age of local and decentralized apps.
The reason is that Claude Code allows you to quickly clone any moderately complex cloud-based app into a decent local one that runs on only your files.
This is an important update to Obsidian founder Kepano’s concept of “file over app.” His argument was that files are portable (and hence more reliable) but apps are not.
The new information is that apps are suddenly portable too. That is: apps of moderate complexity without strong global network effects are suddenly easy to clone. The clone won’t be perfect right away, but it’ll be pretty good. And if the cloning dev sticks with it it’ll get better.
So: can we get a local open source Mac app for everything, operating only on your files? Maybe we can make that a reality.
The Uniswap CCA looks genuinely fairer all around, but idk if fairness is what market participants really want. Def worth trying out the @aztecnetwork case to learn more.
Token distributions often happen behind closed doors, creating information gaps and privileging a few players
We think there's a better way
Today, we're launching the Continuous Clearing Auction Protocol
Big news: after 4+ incredible years leading marketing at @perpprotocol, I’ve decided to start a new chapter. ✨
It’s been an honor to help build one of the most respected teams in DeFi, grow a global community, and learn what it takes to take a protocol from 0 to billions of dollars in trading volume.

If AI becomes as capable as senior engineers, do we still need custom tools or MCP? Or would it be faster to just give them a VM with internet access and let them handle everything via CLI? What's the ideal abstraction to fully leverage advancing LLM capabilities?
