@CloudCuckooCoun The high profile attacks have drawn a lot of attention from gov so hopefully the ACSC is beefed up a bit and holds companies at fault for lax security and delayed informing of breaches as that's what will really keep Aussies data safe

@CloudCuckooCoun For example if it's bank details then block your card or if it's mobile number set up a spam filter. It's all you can really do apart from trying to reduce your digital footprint but tbh the effort required to do that is way more than is really worth for leaked details

@CloudCuckooCoun companies are hacked way more than people think but cover it up (even major breaches) but the way the ransomware gangs act force the companies to be public about the breaches. (source: I am in the cyber sec field)

@CloudCuckooCoun ransomware gangs are the newish big thing in hacking where they steal data and demand a ransom from the company. unfortunately the only reason it seems like they are more common now is cause they force news of the hack to be public to threaten the company (part 1)

- a properly formatted email. So often I get stuff from indies that is a wall of text. Set it out clean, bold your key points, embed images and…
- include a gif with gameplay. This is huge in terms of getting attention
