@Yurenev2@Orbitaldropkick also, cain does have to come in and mindwipe people sometimes. in the centipede example sins we see that Calamity IV required large-scale memory alteration via SERAPH satellites. The Dullahan hound example also has "reprogramming" mentioned as a thing they did to a whole city
@Yurenev2@Orbitaldropkick the human mind is really good at making things up when our perceptions dont make sense. graceless witnesses are likely suspicious and confused, but their brains will make up reasons for things like the effects of an ogre's miasma there's also this paragraph:
@NinjaJez@Orbitaldropkick@LymphOwned biggest tip is to zoom in. lancer's universe is big, and it gets bigger because of the pseudo-realistic ftl travel - many years pass when you warp to another system. so try to scope your games into one planet or system, and focus on the various elements that populate that
@Onor@IrishmanErrant@Orbitaldropkick The game has yet to be released, but from the teasers we understand that the players are Exorcists working for the organization called CAIN and they go on missions to execute Sins (demons spawned from psychic energy and emotion). It seems to be set in modern times.
@sluttycthulhu@Orbitaldropkick in other teasers we can see KP is short for "Kit Points" and likely has to do with how the system handles equipment, possibly in a similar way to FiTD systems
@Wrench_Mun@Orbitaldropkick no released rules yet beyond what can be inferred from the teasers posted here on twitter; it seems to take inspiration from FiTD and others but is a new system he's developing (at least as far as we know)
@Orbitaldropkick this looks so cool...
hmmm... can a character have more than one blasphemy? it looks like only one fits on the card and i was hoping to be able to do some sick combos without needing to rely on teammates
@Orbitaldropkick that temporal instability system is honestly genius. probably the best way i've ever seen to implement downsides to time magic in an actually interesting way
@RvengefuLobster yeah like what? EoT and Pacific Rim may not be """cinema""" but they're great fun and amazing at what they try to do: be badass scifi stories with cool fights that take themselves seriously
