It is my first year in the #NYMarathon -- it's been a dream; one I've been in training for for years now - and I could do with some tips. What to eat beforehand and after, how to recover faster, and how to change it up week of. #newyorkmarathon@NYMarathonWait@NY_CityMarathon
@NYMarathonWait@NY_CityMarathon Oh gotcha. You just answered my question. Also, what do you suggest post-race? Can one have a slice -- or is that too carby?
@WriteWayDigital@NY_CityMarathon You’re right - enjoy yourself. 2 don’t get exhausted beforehand - there is too much to see & do & the bib pick up is a circus - stay focused - get your bib and get off your feet - it’s normally cold at the start - wear a throw away layer for bridge - pace yourself & be present
@NYMarathonWait@NY_CityMarathon Oh thank you so much. And in terms of good meals night before, and morning of, do you suggest just keep it plain and simple - whole foods style stuff?
I ask : what was your first career before your current one?
Me : started as a graphic designer - studying advertising and design in college - and now work in marketing.
Just watched a fantastic indie movie, WAKING NIGHTMARE, marketed by former co-workers @ClintOCoast and @JeffOCPR, two of the nicest and best in indie PR. Diane Franklin, Jamison Newlander and Shelley Regner in it.What a surprise this is - nice to see a unique spin on this story.
