Everyone on the shuttle bus after yesterday’s @Philly_Marathon said their watches showed 0.3 miles run longer nearly the entire race. Something was measured wrong because it was like that through the finish line. And there were too many runners to zigzag 0.3 miles extra.
@MelindaHoward4 Sending you warm thoughts! My son just sent the one he was wearing back. Call and have the company send you extra adhesives once you get home so you have on hand. Sucks you have to wear this but at least you’ll get answers. ❤️
@WriteWayDigital@NY_CityMarathon Knock yourself out post race! There will be fruit and bars when you finish - 1 thing with NY it takes a LONG time to get out after you finish - DON’T get frustrated & If you’re flying in/not local make certain to catch a Broadway show before you leave!
@WriteWayDigital@NY_CityMarathon And for what it’s worth night before marathon - try to eat around 5 so you have time to digest - and sleep - you may be anxious night before -get sleep during the week in case u don’t get enough night before -enjoy yourself and force yourself to not start too fast it will ruin u
@WriteWayDigital@NY_CityMarathon NYC has too many options - best bet since it’s a new is stuck to what has worked during training - don’t over eat - you can’t process the calories - I normally eat 1-2 bananas and 1-2 granola bars morning of - bring 4 gels for the marathon you like - take 10min before start
@dwarfparatri Tough day with the heat and humidity. Lead runner had to drop out after having a near 2min lead at points. Reminded me of Boston in 2012 when it started at 75 and hit 90 degrees. Better to love to run another day!
@LVPCPA @ChiMarathon@BankofAmerica Luis you ROCK!!! @AutismOAR is an AMAZING organization and helps so many families! Your support helps@make it happen! Congrats on the run!
@dwarfparatri@nycmarathon@nyrr Vaccine rates are over 70% and steadily increasing. They will have the race covered. It’s the NYPD and FDNY!! Great people!
Bronxville High School sophomore Jack Pasquale successfully competed in his first varsity cross-country race on Oct. 13. After training for weeks, he crossed the finish line to the cheers of his teammates and spectators at the meet. More details: https://t.co/FbSi7LX5cA
I have been so startled and nearly twisted ankles - owners generally have a stupid look on their face and ignore - I always feel like if I say something they will say I’m the problem
A dog chased after me and nearly bit me as I ran by this morning.
Look, I love dogs. But I don’t care if he’s a “good dog” and “never does that.” The fact is, he tried.
I imagine I’ll incur the wrath of dog owners, but I believe in leashes in public places. Period.
