Matt stared at the dire wolf. It was impressively big, no doubt, but he couldn’t help but sneer.
“No different than a gray wolf,” he said with disgust.
He slipped on a root, falling into some mud. His jeep was stuck in the same mud and he was trying to find a way to get it out.
With the other journalists? No, he had to mock their wonder-eyed ways and drive out here, alone, for a real scoop.
“Stop overthinking this,” he muttered to himself. The jeep, he had to make it to the jeep. He had to try.
