Now this is a story all about how
My life got flipped right upside down
Just sit right there
I'll tell you how I started going to Angel's Field

In '52 on our family farm
I woke up naked with no alarm
Outside the house where I was born and raised
Being wild and free was how I spent most of my days

Running with my tiger and bending the rules
Avoiding that boarding school my mom thought was cool
When my parents got in a terrible fight and memories danced in my head at night,
I got one little potion from fox so sly
He said "Drink this up and you'll be alright."

I ended up in a mansion so grand
Where a being of light took me by the hand.
I begged and pleaded with them to let me stay,
but they gave me a warning and sent me on my way.

I whistled for escape as darkness filled the air
But I thought "Nah, forget it" — to Angel's Field I dared!
I stole some potion and snuck in through the back .
The angels with swords didn't see my tracks.

I found my kingdom, it was all right there
to escape my hard life, no one would care.
But as my fantasy crumbled and reality leaked in
The overdose I took left my future grim
Now I've got to face what's in the darkness outside
Or the institution is where I'll reside.
