@mamabearister Agree with your whole thread 100 percent. All week I’ve been saying: there but for the grace of god go I. And it’s as true for my first as it was for my third. Every time is different and hard and there is not enough support.
@KSVesq Also, our 6yo is verrry snuggly when sick so I knew I would have to build that in when trying to plan work calls/actual work time. We did lots of movies, sticker books, short errands. She had a lot of energy compared to when she’s had Covid/flu/etc
@KSVesq Our six year old just did adenoids in October. The pain was very manageable for her. But still lots of popsicles, Stoneyfield yogurt drinks, frappes, etc. And Motrin/Tylenol for first few days. She stayed home a full week.
@RMFifthCircuit JP Licks for ice cream. Coppa and Saltie Girl are two favorites. A drink on the roof at The Newbury in back bay (the old Taj) or on the roof at The Envoy in Seaport. Go early to avoid crowds/noise/A SCENE etc.
@bethwilensky @ProfSugarman @pjaicomo We have an Atlas and an Ascent and I prefer the Ascent. But the trunk space is small if you have two kids in third row. We usually do two kids in capt chairs, one kid in third row and fold other half of third row down. It’s amazing in snow and ice.
@RachelGurvich It’s okay to be sad. I’m sad too. But toddler loves you and is so lucky to have you. You’re definitely not alone. It all feels impossibly hard at time. Signed mom of kids 7, 5 and 3.
I wish I was voting today for @andreaforboston. But I did get to vote for FIVE candidates of color. It was unthinkable growing up in Boston to have a field like this. The work remains, but this is progress. #bospoli#ElectionDay#mapoli
Voting for @andreaforboston this morning was more emotional than I expected! She is the right mayor for this time. So happy to support my classmate, friend, and the fiercest advocate for all 23 neighborhoods. #teamandrea#bospoli
