Let your imagination run wild! That's what we did in Mrs. Lambie's class today for #classroombookaday with The Gruffalo by Julia Donaldson! We love that the little mouse found a way to be brave and stand up for himself without harming others! @WV_Reading

We LOVE Wolfie! Mrs. Lambie's class thought the story was going to be so much different than it was! Some of the kids predicted that Wolfie was wearing a Halloween costume and some thought Wolfie was wearing PJs. We laughed a lot! #classroombookaday @AmeDyckman

@joshfunkbooks @WV_Reading We read MIssion Defrostable before Stinky Stench! The kiddos were too excited to wait to read them in order. They are so excited to read more of your books. I love to see them checking them out of our library!

And we had to read the 2nd book in The Lady Pancake and Sir French Toast adventures! The 2nd graders couldn't wait! #classroombookaday is so much FUN! @joshfunkbooks the kiddos can't wait until 2020, as 4th graders, for the next adventure!

Today's #classroombookaday really made Mrs. Lambie's class think! A Bike Like Sergio's by @maribethboelts made us realize that doing the right thing can be hard sometimes, but is the best choice! They also decided that feeling proud of our choices is more important!

Mrs. Lambie's class really enjoyed Nerdy Birdy Tweets @areynoldsbooks ! They loved making the connection to us tweeting our reading to Nerdy Birdy tweeting! One friend said that when we have new "friends" we can't forget our old ones! So true! #classroombookaday

After reading Good News, Bad News yesterday for #classroombookaday, our 2nd graders wanted to see another story told with few words! @ChrisRaschka and Yo! Yes? did the trick! Now the challenge is for the kids to write with fewer words! @WV_Reading

Today we read Lady Pancake and Sir French Toast by @joshfunkbooks! The 2nd graders loved the vivid language and enjoyed seeing the different foods take on the human-like characteristics! We also talked about sharing and showing respect to others. @WV_Reading @d46webmaster
