Looking back at things in hindsight, i begrudgingly picked up my drawing tablet to flesh out a concept for #AQW 's anything goes contest.
Burnout made me quit creating art after 7 years of studying to be rewarded with 100s of rejection letters
and no prospects.
I'm glad im back
@BeleenAE Thank you so much Beleen, i really, really, really appreciate the gesture. Thank you again to you and the team for the wonderful opportunity!
Thank you to everyone involved in hosting the contest, it really came up in an important time in my life to re-invigorate my creative skills after a drawn out battle with depression and burnout.
Thank you AE for planting and nurturing my creative spirit and reviving it once more
The wait is over! Over 100 contest winners have been crowned! We did not choose 105 winnersโฆ our community simply refused to let us choose less. Come celebrate our heroes who cranked their imagination to Infinity!

The AQW Anything Goes Contest winners post is over 3,000 words long! At this point it's less of a Design Notes post and more of a love letter to our absolutely incredible community. Thank YOU for being such an important part of our story ๐

@Clarion_AE Clarion, would you ever consider integrating PBR texture packing into AQ3D at any point in the future? Or would it be outside the scope of the current design pipeline? I believe it would improve visual fidelity exponentially, especially for PC players.
The AQW anything goes contest revived me from my creative burnout after failing to get an industry job. What started as a creative writing project led to me drawing again after 2 years. A month into drawing on and off and I'm slowly getting my bearings back.

Turns out a lot of AQW players want to give a try on their own items but don't know how to start shading it.
This is a quick shading render tutorial thread.
This is an AQW Art thread to show how you can manage elements and tones to work on a specific theme/faction in a design.
We're using the Shading tutorial concept art as a base.
The Silent Sentinels finally play their hand. A mysterious guardian has a letter for your eyes only waiting at The Termina Temple. A familiar face waits for your arrival at Dreadrock Citadel. Find out who awaits your arrival. Only on #AQW#Infinity#Kickstarter

@Peakanime0 From my observation, the reason why the older version is more pleasing to look at is because there's less going on visually and higher contrast colors which makes it easier to read. Also not a lot of post processing effects and strobing lights. Sometimes, less is more.
