During her trainee days, Source Music asked Minji to drop out of high school to focus on her training. This meant she had to get ready and go to school as early as 6 a.m., waiting at the entrance until the doors opened so the managers wouldn't stop her from attending classes.

Her mother stated in a 2024 article:

"Ahead of her high school entrance, I even heard absurd claims that it would be better for her not to attend a regular high school because it would be difficult to balance it with practice." 'Minji, who found Source Music's training methods difficult, reportedly considered going to school her only joy'. (Extracted from an article on Naver published on July 24, 2024).

Furthermore, the agency gave her training schedules that were truly unfair for a girl her age, forcing her to walk home alone at 2 a.m. Although her parents wanted to intervene, Minji asked them not to and decided to continue pursuing her dream of debuting.

In addition, a former classmate of Minji's stated in an August 2024 article on Nate Pan how Minji defended her from bullies when they were in sixth grade. The girl recounted how some of her classmates harassed her after an incident in which she fainted and had to be taken to the hospital in an ambulance, leading several boys to label her as sickly and weak.

She even recounted how a classmate once stole her wallet from the bleachers during gym class and refused to return it until Minji approached her and asked why she wouldn't give it back if it wasn't hers. This prompted the classmate to return the wallet, and Minji even made her apologize to the other girl.

Minji is a kind, noble-hearted, and good-hearted girl. She's simply a girl with a dream she's fought for with all her might, a girl who just wanted to go to school, play with her classmates, learn, and one day become a singer. And to this day, she remains that girl who loves her teddy bear and loves to sing. 🧸💙

🚨HYBE shareholders are telling Bang Si-hyuk to get on his knees and apologize to Min Hee-jin, bring her back to produce NewJeans, and apologize to Danielle.

They’re also criticizing HYBE for wasting shareholders’ money on legal fees.

Seems like everybody is sick of them
