$BTC to $ETH dominated THORChain's Q2 volume at over $1B, dwarfing every other route combined. $BTC to $USDT came second at roughly $200M, with $BTC to $USDC, $ETH to $USDT, and $BCH to $ETH rounding out the top five.

Four out of five involve $BTC. THORChain is the only place native Bitcoin moves freely across chains, the way Satoshi would have wanted it to.

The question is whether anything can dethrone $BTC to $ETH as the dominant route. $XMR is coming. If Monero's community brings the same kind of organic demand that Bitcoin holders have, that top five could look very different by Q4.

Thinking of everyone impacted by the Coldcard hack

Core lesson for self-custody: single-sig security ≈ quality of seed entropy. Firmware updates don’t repair a seed that was already generated weak.

Cold storage protects keys after generation. It does not fix a seed born with too few bits of randomness.

Defense-in-depth still matters: strong BIP39 passphrase, multisig, dice-augmented entropy where available.

I BELIEVE Dynosauur will return the stolen @THORChain funds and go down as one of the most legendary whitehats in crypto history. ⚔️

The Verus Bridge exploiter just returned 4,052 $ETH ($8.5M) from the $11.58M exploit and kept 25% (~1,350 ETH / $2.8M) as bounty.

That changed the entire narrative overnight.

And honestly, after exposing such a critical weakness in one of the hardest cryptography and cross-chain systems ever built, even a 20-30% bounty feels fair to me.

The point has already been made.
