India just crossed a remarkable milestone: Half of its total installed electricity capacity comes from non-fossil sources. This is five years ahead of the nations 2030 commitment set at the climate talks in Glasgow in 2021. It’s thanks to a surge in solar and wind.

It is a moment to pause and congratulate the people of India. I have met many of the heroes. The energy developers in Gujarat aiming at 100 gigawatt by 2030, the small business owners and companies in UP installing roof top solar, the pioneers at Omkareshwar who constructed the worlds largest floating solar, the proud people of Sanchi who developed one of Indias first solar cities, the wind industry of Tamil Nadu with huge ambitions for repowering and expansion. Well done my friends!

The island province of Hainan, will be the subject of China's biggest economic experiment since 1978.

China is turning Hainan into our own RMB tax haven, here's how it works:

🪙Hainan will become a duty free, low tax province. With complete free flow of capital into and out of the island.

🪙Foreign banks can operate on the island with way fewer restrictions than on the mainland.

You can then set up a Hainan Free Trade (FT) account, which will allow seamless exchange of funds between Chinese Yuan and other currencies.

This will allow foreigners to invest in China and Chinese stock market seamlessly.
It will also allow Chinese company to invest abroad without intermediaries.

🪙The low corporate and income tax will attract people from mainland China and rest of the world to live there.

🪙The island will be duty free, allowing it to become the logistics hub and even manufacturing center directly facing the global market. Hainan's proximity with Southeast Asia will turn it into a bridgehead for China's largest trade partner.
