Smaller parties will also struggle, as they remarkably need substantially more votes now than the 8% under the existing system. Proponents of proportional systems tend to argue they're fairer to the smaller parties. For some reason, Labour and Plaid weren't particularly bothered about that here.

To make any sense of Starmer's policy changes and back-tracking you must realise that he's not his own man.

Not long after he and his gang were elected, two very important people flew into London to give them their orders.

Everything flows from that.

Even before they arrived, betraying the promise made about winter fuel payments was due to his masters' orders.

The recent about-turn on PIP can again be explained by Starmer following orders . . . until it was realised he'd lose the vote, and maybe his job, so he was allowed to 'compromise'.

Increasing taxes for job-creators may not be popular with his puppet-masters, but if it keeps him in No 10 then he'll be allowed to hold out that carrot for the Left.

So always remember - Starmer is a Globalist puppet.

The only real question is how much have they got on him?

🚨DARREN JONES SAGA REVEALS TRUE MOTIVES OF THOSE SEEKING TO BAN POLITICIANS "LYING"🚨

Labour cabinet minister Darren Jones provoked fury this week, after making a false claim that most small boat migrants are babies, women and children. Jones' erroneous assertion was met with laughter and ridicule from a bemused BBC Question Time audience.

But that did not stop him from doubling down. He claimed he'd been "misrepresented" and accused @reformparty_uk of sharing inaccurate information. There was no apology.

Jones' statement is clearly untrue.

Home Office figures show that 81% of small boat arrivals in the first three months of this year were adult men. Figures recorded between 2018 and 2021 put that number as high as 90%.

To disprove Jones' claims, these statistics are not even required. Most of us have eyes. Each day, we see footage of hundreds of people arriving on our shores illegally. They all come from France, a safe country. Their arrival places huge pressures on our public services and taxpayers. And it is obvious that the vast majority are working age, adult men.

But there's something more revealing about this saga than meets the eye: the silence of many politicians.

In recent times, many have called for the creation of a new criminal offence, in which politicians who are proven to have lied in a public statement can be prosecuted.

In Wales, Plaid Cymru Senedd member @Adamprice has been particularly vocal. He tabled a so-called "deception amendment" to the Elections and Elected Bodies (Wales) Bill. If passed, this amendment would have, effectively, criminalised lying. Any politician found to have done so what have been banned from serving as a Senedd member for four years.

Price eventually agreed to withdraw his amendment. But only because Welsh Government promised to bring in the new law themselves. Many Labour and Plaid Cymru Senedd members have spoken enthusiastically in favour of it. Nation of Sanctuary enthusiast @MickAntoniw1 is one.

One would therefore expect these politicians to be vocal in their outrage at Jones' false claims. But they've been eerily silent. Unless we've missed it, we have not seen such comments from any of the "deception amendment's" chief cheerleaders.

We suspect we know why.

Jones, like the majority of those agitating for the new law, comes from the progressive, liberal left. His views are out of step with the vast majority of people in our country, including Labour voters. Most people want tough action taken to stop small boat migrants. They do not want to become a Nation of Sanctuary for asylum seekers.

It is incredibly revealing that those politicians seeking to prosecute colleagues for lying have not spoken out against Jones. We suspect it unmasks their true intentions. In our view, it isn't about bringing honesty back to public life. It's about limiting scrutiny of their decisions and opponents' ability to speak out.

The 20mph speed limits in Wales, pushed by another taxpayer funded charity, Sustrans, are a case in point. Many Conservative Senedd members described the 20mph policy as a "blanket" approach.

Labour and Plaid Cymru politicians, who imposed the unpopular, ideologically motivated policy on Wales, objected. They preferred the term "default". This is because the phrase "blanket 20mph" cut through to the public, who were rightly angered by the policy. It led to a significant backlash and then First Minister Mark Drakeford's popularity collapsed.

Outrageously, politicians favouring the 20mph policy succeeded in banning their opponents from using the "blanket" term. Several Conservative politicians were reprimanded and censured by the Senedd's Standards Committee. They were warned they faced further consequences if they used the term again.

This is an affront to democracy. Politicians should not be able to limit or control what their opponents can say. Rigorous debate is essential to hold those in power to account. It's no exaggeration to say that censorship of this kind would be at home in a despotic, tyrannical regime.

The politicians who were so offended by the "blanket" term have been less concerned by blatant untruths told by a senior government minister. This tells us all we need to know.

This is the reason we oppose the plans. Yes, we want to see honesty in public life. And we believe politicians who deliberately lie should face the consequences. But those consequences should be administered by us, the public.

We do not trust politicians to police this themselves. It's open to abuse. We've already seen opposition politicians silenced by the Senedd, for speaking out against 20mph, a policy favoured by the Welsh political elite but despised by the Welsh people. Giving that elite further, draconian powers is a deeply disturbing prospect.

We set up @SeneddWaste to expose Welsh Government's ideological spending. We've explained how Welsh Government uses taxpayers' cash to embed its ideology and entrench its power.

To end this system, politicians need to be free to speak out. They should not be put at risk of reprimand or sanction by their colleagues for telling uncomfortable truths.

The silence of "deception amendment's" supporters on Jones shines a light on more than just their views on immigration. They cannot be given further powers to silence their critics and shut down opposition to their ideologically motivated, dangerous policies.

These plans must be stopped.
