I feel like that “Crooklyn and Moonlight had a baby” description sold me, but Issa’s last point matters even more.

If I Go Will They Miss Me is a Black family coming-of-age story set in Watts, built around a 12-year-old boy trying to understand his father through imagination and mythology. It just expanded into 30+ markets nationwide.

We always say we want more movies like this. Opening weekend is when showing up actually matters more than our claims.
