@jakonian You understand that less immigration would help with the housing crisis a lot tho? Not solve it outright but it is a big factor. It's something the guy in ur profile picture is very aware of, he keeps talking about Canada reducing immigration to help with the housing crisis
@neybappe_o@ckaay_13 Thats a bit misleading. Bayern finished with more points the year Kane joined than the year before. Leverkusen just had a freak season
@tafphorisms You are the one with the child's understanding of economics lmao. Housing supply is stunted due to other factors- mainly Nimbyism. We can't build that many houses a year, so adding loads of people to the country spikes prices
@mealdealtruther@ojvhteuhyhes Every city in Europe. The differences in culinary diversity are shown in towns and rural areas where you mainly have the native palettes. And for me ours is much more generic 2/2
@mealdealtruther@ojvhteuhyhes I just think our palette is much more basic than Europeans in standard restaurants in the UK. France, Spain, Italy, Germany have much more variety I've found in their standard restaurants. Obviously we have a lot of variety in cities due to immigration but that's the same for 1/2
@adamm_thfc It happens both ways, theres a sect of fans that overrate young nothing players aswell. Both the "experience and mentality" knuckleheads and "youth" knuckleheads are one in the same. Tel, Gray, Bergvall, Gallagher, Palhinha, Robertson are all wildly overrated
@jake_deezn@Kish_P14 You can dislike his statement on Greenwood and still have wanted him to be our manager. Thats the bracket I'm in. I'm on about the people demanding that we didnt sign him because of it. No-one is squeaky clean in football, if you try to be moral, your club will never get anywhere
@1967Rogerwade@peter_sarris The working class did not prefer Thatcher lmao. The red wall seats which is labour's base despise her to this day. It all started with Blair and has gotten worse with Brexit
@catxnapping@IdkIdk410509@MariGO2thepolls The anti fraud exists cos of the disability benefits bill being really large. Not sure what your point is there. And amount of funding is always to do with No of claimants. I'm in the UK and our govts are trying to bring down the benefits bill due to so many claimants post covid
@testosteroneHAV@PolitlcsUK You've actually proved my point with that question.
You are making the point that homeowners block building and limit supply which is correct. So since supply is restricted what happens when you add millions of people to demand? The two work hand in hand
@testosteroneHAV@PolitlcsUK To spike prices. Do you seriously not understand simple supply and demand? Look into the topic, you'll find that there are both supply side and demand side factors affecting housing, it is very ignorant to just brush away demand side factors like immigration 2/2
@testosteroneHAV@PolitlcsUK We are building the same amount of houses as we did in the 80s, 90s etc. The reason we didn't have as big a housing crisis then was because our population growth was slow. Adding so many people in the 2000s onwards whilst building the same amount of houses is obviously going 1/2
