Deadbeat Father Barred from Inheriting Deceased Son's R716,000 Estate
A father who abandoned his financial and paternal duties decades ago has been legally blocked from claiming a share of his late son's inheritance.
The court ruled that the absent father will not receive a single cent from the R716,000 estate of his son, who tragically passed away at the age of 29.
According to court records, the man had not been a part of his son's life since the child was just one year old. Despite failing to provide emotional or financial support for 28 years, the father came forward after his son's death, expecting a windfall from the deceased's estate.
The court took a firm stance against the claim, emphasising that a parent cannot abandon their parental responsibilities throughout a child's life and then expect to benefit financially from their death.
The entire R716,000 estate will be distributed without the biological father receiving any share.

THINKING OF BUYING A NISSAN MAGNITE? THINK AGAIN 🚗
My husband bought a BRAND NEW Nissan Magnite from CMH Nissan Ballito in November 2024. Two years later, we have a car that belongs in a scrapyard more than it belongs on the road. 🙃
The list of problems?
Engine Failure Hazard warnings & non starting
Auto gearbox overheating error messages
Loud knocking noises
Losing power and breaking down on the road on multiple occasions, requiring towing.
OVER 7 REPAIR VISITS.. ACROSS 3 CMH NISSAN DEALERSHIPS.. STILL NOT FIXED.
And here's the best part. After one so called “repair” at CMH Nissan Pinetown, we were assured the vehicle was in perfect working order. We drove to the Astron garage just 100 meters away, only for the EXACT SAME ENGINE FAILURE AND NON STARTING PROBLEM to occur again!
100 METERS.. THAT'S HOW LONG THEIR REPAIR LASTED. You honestly couldn't make this up. 😂 Except we're the ones paying for it.
Meanwhile, the car is sitting USELESS in our garage.
Nissan SA and CMH Nissan Ballito customer service? A never ending game of blame shifting, excuses and being passed from one person to another.
Their solution? “Lets try fixing it AGAIN!” But this time, we must pay for a clutch replacement 🙂 Because apparently, after 7 failed repair attempts under warranty, the problem is suddenly OUR bill to deal with. What a brilliant business model! 👏
If you're considering buying a Nissan Magnite, take our experience as a warning. Because apparently, with Nissan, the only thing that keeps RUNNING is the bill 👏

🚨 BREAKING: A Black couple showed up to tour an apartment in Queens... and the broker accidentally texted THEM instead of the owner: "Ugh. They are Black."
They'd just moved from Delaware for her new job. Now they're SUING Douglas Elliman, the agent AND the owners.
"It doesn't change the pain. It doesn't take away the pain you caused us that day."
Think about it. They were judged before they even had a chance.
They only found out because she texted the wrong person. Most people never do.
What this means for you folks:
1: This white paper basically allows private companies to take over the operations and distribution of water.
Which means you will pay more and you will be cut off quicker for failing to pay because you’re being charged by a business not a municipality.
2. Because of ring fencing the municipalities won’t be able to cross use revenue, utility money will be kept separate, meaning if you have a crap or poor municipality things like potholes, refuse collection, street lights etc. will be significantly worse off, and you’ll hear about “budget constraints”, the stakes of maladministration will be felt more than ever before.
[WATCH] President Cyril Ramaphosa says municipalities will no longer have an automatic right to provide water and electricity. Instead, a compulsory licensing system will be introduced, with revenues from utility sales ring-fenced for infrastructure maintenance. He addressed the local government white paper launch today.
