If it’s “happy wife, happy home,” then logically, marriage is no longer working like before because men have stopped enduring. They’ve decided they want to be happy too.
All this heavy security flooding a state like it’s a war zone…
Just because of elections.
Meanwhile, everyday Nigerians are still left at the mercy of kidnappers.
Shameless Government....
My sister’s husband suddenly became very generous last December.
He bought her a new iPhone 16, took the whole family to an expensive restaurant for Christmas lunch, and even transferred ₦150k to her account “for shopping.”
We were all happy for her, my younger sister kept posting “God when” on her status.
Two weeks ago, she called me crying, the landlord served her quit notice.
Apparently, her husband had not paid the house rent for eight months, she discovered he had been using the rent money to service a “sure 2 odds” betting account.
The new phone and the Christmas money came from a soft loan he took from his office cooperative.
When she confronted him, he shouted, “You too dey complain other men spoil their wives, and I did the same, you dey here dey do detective.”
She asked him when he would pay the rent.
He replied, “When my sure banker pays me my millions.”
Reading books taught me that before you become rich in your pocket, you must become rich in your mind.
Around 2007, I watched The Secret. It changed something in me. I later bought over 100 copies of the book and CDs and shared them with others.
Then I kept reading, Napoleon Hill, Wallace D. Wattles, The Greatest Salesman in the World, Robert Greene, Bill Bartmann' Billionaires secret to success, Jim Rohn many others.
Yet while reading about success, I was still failing in business. I lost millions. Factories closed. I borrowed money. I started again and again.
But the books were quietly building the person who would eventually build the business.
They changed how I saw money, failure, selling, value creation and opportunity.
Years later, my yoghurt business recorded sales running into billions of naira.
Reading didn't make me rich because books contain magic.
Reading changed my thinking.
My thinking changed my actions.
My actions changed my life.
Read. Think. Act. Fail. Learn. Repeat.
A mortician who is well fortified is making money online by creating content with dead bodies, and some of you believed what he is saying....
Can you sleep alone in a room with a dead body?
There is a reason mortuaries are quiet. There is a reason people lower their voices around the dead. There is a reason some people still knock before entering a room where corpses are kept.
The world of the dead and the living is not the same. As a living person, when you trespass into places you have no business entering, you may see exactly what you went looking for.
A woman running a POS stand told me her business was doing well.
People were always around for withdrawals, transfers, airtime, bills and everything.
I asked how much she made that week.
She couldn't tell me.
She knew the total money that passed through the POS.
She didn't know what belonged to customers, what belonged to her, how much she made from charges or how much she spent running the stand.
Money passing through your hands is not the same thing as money you made.
You want a woman running a POS to tell you how much she made that week?
If na you, you go talk am? Have you considered that she might just be security-conscious?
Well, I understand your perspective. A lot of small business owners confuse cash flow with profit. You can process millions through a POS and still be making very little if you don’t track your charges, expenses, and actual profit.
I remembered that year, one guy in my village came back from the city to get married from the village. After finding the girl he wanted to marry, he started making preparations for the wedding.
One day, while walking around the village, he branched into one of those bars where you usually find drunkards gathered.
Immediately he got there, he bought one shot for everybody sitting there cause it was festive period.
As he was about leaving, one of the drunk men called him back and started telling him the history of the girl he was planning to marry.
The man told him how the girl allegedly followed different village boys to hotels, how she would shout at her mother and sometimes even fight her, how she disrespected people and many other things.
After listening to everything, the young man initially told himself:
“This one na drunk man. Why should I believe him?”
But on a second thought, he decided to investigate.
After making his own enquiries, he discovered that everything the drunk man had told him was true. He even found out other things he never knew about the girl, including allegations that she had undergone several abortions.
He didn't confront the girl.
He didn't ask her parents any questions either.
He simply went home packed his things and returned to the city.
About a week later, he sent a message to his mother and asked her to inform the girl and her parents that he was no longer interested in the marriage.
And that was it, the wedding has ended
Long story short, the girl is now a single mother in the village.
The guy that almost rap*d her, she didn’t block him
The guy that broke her heart, she didn’t block him
The guy that deceived her with love but just cracked and bounced, she didn’t block him
The guy that scammed her, she didn’t block him
She’s still in active contact with all of them. But because you told her to not wear a revealing cloth to a party, she blocked you cus she feels you’re controlling. And you are busy begging so she can understand your view.
Your mama no dey pray for you ?
