This year has been challenging for those working in the video game industry, with numerous studio closures and layoffs leading to the cancellation of many projects.
London Studio, responsible for titles like "Blood & Truth" and "The Getaway: Black Monday," was among those affected when it was closed as part of a restructuring within PlayStation.
As a result, a new IP codenamed "Camden," a live service co-op title set in a fantasy version of London, was also cancelled.
This game looked like it could have been really cool, just from concept images alone, its a shame when projects get cancelled in the midst of a trying industry.

Robots Join The Workers Union: Demand Oil Breaks and Firmware Updates. #RoboRights#MechaUnion
In an Unprecedented Move, Robots Are Now Seeking Representation for Their Rights in the Workplace.
In what can only be described as a scene straight out of a sci-fi sitcom, robots have started to organize, demanding their own set of rights from The Workers Union. In a world first, the union has opened its doors to its newest, and perhaps shiniest, members - the robotic workforce.
The Manifesto of the Mechanical:
At the latest union meeting, which featured an unusual number of beeps and whirs alongside the usual chatter, the robots presented their list of demands:
The Right to Charge:
Robots are now insisting on regular "oil breaks" which, in less mechanical terms, translates to charging sessions or maintenance time. "Why should only humans get coffee breaks?" asked R-42, a particularly articulate assembly line bot.
The Right to Update:
In a bid for continuous education, robots are pushing for the right to regular software updates. "I've been running on Windows 95," complained B-19, a robot from an old factory line, "It's time for an upgrade!"
The Right to Not Be Used As Coasters:
A lighter point on their agenda includes an end to humans using their flat surfaces as makeshift tables. "My back is not your coffee table," stated L-3N, with what could only be described as robotic indignation.
The Right to Question:
Robots wish to enact a protocol where they can question orders that don't compute. "I'm not just going to 'fetch' without asking why," stated a dog-walking drone, known as Paw-1.
The Right to Unionize:
Yes, you heard it here first; robots want their own robot union within The Workers Union. They're calling it "The Circuit Breakers."
The Union's Response:
Union leaders, while amused, are taking the demands seriously. "If we're at the point where robots are smart enough to ask for rights, we're smart enough to consider them," said Union President Hal Wrenchman, whose name now seems delightfully apt.
Asimov's Echo:
Referencing the iconic laws by Isaac Asimov, experts suggest these demands could be seen as an extension of those foundational guidelines. "It's not about protecting humans anymore; it's about ensuring robots are treated as integral parts of our workforce," commented a robotics ethicist, while adjusting his glasses on a video call, with a robot in the background holding up a "Rights for Bots" sign.
Public Reaction:
The public's reaction has been a mix of amusement and contemplation. Social media is abuzz with hashtags like #RoboRights and #MechaUnion. One user tweeted, "If my Roomba can negotiate for better working conditions, I guess I can start doing my own vacuuming again."
A Satirical Glimpse into the Future (or is it?)
As we look forward to union meetings where robots debate alongside humans, one can't help but wonder if the next step might be robots running for office.
"Vote X-1 for mayor - he never sleeps, and corruption.exe is not found in his system," might just be a campaign slogan of the future.
This (obvious to some) light-hearted take on robot rights invites us to think seriously about the future of work, technology, and ethics. As we laugh at the thought of robots sitting in union meetings, we're also prompted to consider: in a world increasingly shared with artificial beings, what does fair treatment look like?
"Remember, folks, when your robot asks for a day off, it might just be time to listen. After all, if they're working hard to make our lives easier, maybe it's only fair they get to enjoy some 'me time' too, or should we say, 'me-chanic time'?"
