December for me started off with this memorable panel on the gender divide in AI hosted by @WomeninAIEthics. Grateful to have shared the space with the very inspiring @eleonoreft & @XantheScharff from whom I learnt a lot.

We discussed the underrepresentation of women in AI/STEM careers, gender stereotypes and biases reinforced by AI applications, the importance of global, national, and local policies in addressing bias in AI, the role of media/journalists, the constraints faced by women entrepreneurs to access VC funding, the impact of AI on women workers in different sectors, and the need to address the systemic challenges disproportionately impacting women [e.g., the burden of paid & unpaid work].
