A rare glimpse into how the private credit situation is seen by institutional investors. Also a notably detailed description of how the concept of “underfunded” leads to money being taken from kids, but never from assets of a practically profitable fund

Always fascinated by how things like this multiply harm. Some people will have their small dreams destroyed, losing everything they invested in them. Others will lose their jobs and years of expertise. Others will be hurt by racism in the comments. And no one benefits.
The announcement will be a devastating blow for those who believed the court would uphold Italy’s 160-year history of citizenship by descent, or ius sanguinis. https://t.co/nDRnqrvjLu

watching something become politicized in real time is so frustrating. there was no reason pronatalism needed to end up politicized at all, and now it's slowly becoming seen as a wacky rightwing talking point.
I mentioned something to an older neighbor about how strange it is that so many people have stopped having kids and she readily agreed and then after a minute said "...but that's what all those MAGA people are talking about now." I tried to gently be like "oh I guess so, but it seems to me like something everyone should care about" but I could watch the desire to maintain the correct political allegiance surging within her and overriding any reasonable thought.

NEW: Tons of recent news reports have mentioned the fact that Claude works inside war tech from Palantir to help the Pentagon select its targets.
But how does this actually work? What specifically is Claude doing vs not doing?

I'm excited about @travisk but I'm more stoked about Anthony. Many people haven't met him, but he's a real life Doc Brown and a wonderful human being. The story arc here is profound on many levels.
My lesson from Fridge No More: I believed that if we pushed hard enough and won the market, the money would follow. We had the best product, best marketing, and best economics. We ended up controlling 70%+ of the NYC market despite five heavily funded competitors.
But we still missed fundraising. We worked on it a lot, but we didn’t push to the limit!
Mark Zuckerberg posted a photo with Alexandr Wang to on Threads to shut down the rumors, but because it's Threads, no one has any idea who it is or why he's posting it
